This Rosemary has a clean, classic verbenone aroma with refined tenacious dry outs. Small farms in Corsica supply a few hundred pounds a year from native plants. We understand there are some low cost verbenone chemotype Rosemary Oils online. Often these are cultivated because rosemary is not indigenous to North America. Be careful. In this industry you often get what you pay for. It is very hard to make a living with a crop yielding .5 to 1.2 percent. We consider the challenges these Mediterranean farmers face. Though this particular oil is fine for soaps, it is probably not cost-wise in that application. It is excellent, however, for aromatherapy. Some of the other natural chemical constituents include bornyl alcohol, alpha pinene, camphene, cineol, and camphor. Oil with similar chemistry blend well with Rosemary, especially Lavender, Lavandin Grosso, Spike Lavender and Eucalyptus.
